About me

Welcome, I'm Jo, the founder of The Lehmann Collective. I have over 20 years of experience across journalism, International Development, the Health & Social care sector, as well as Government working for some of the busiest press offices in Whitehall. Throughout my career, I’ve been lucky enough to live and work across the globe - from Moscow to Malawi, the Middle East to Hong Kong - which has given me a unique perspective on the power of communication in diverse contexts.

I set up The Lehmann Collective, as through my years of experience I’ve noticed that organisations find it challenging to combine robust crisis communications, with the creative spark needed for powerful campaigns that move people to act. That’s where I come in - combining creative storytelling, thought leadership development, crisis expertise, and a deep understanding of the PR landscape to help organisations to make a real difference.

Training

Providing media training for leaders to navigate interviews and public speaking with confidence, as well as practical communications training for non-comms professionals.

Jo is such a joy to work with. During her time at WaterAid, she led on many hugely successful projects – from writing media reports recognised by global experts, to conceiving and then project managing a Glastonbury Festival media stunt that featured in coverage around the world. With a very clear focus on audience and how ideas will be received outside the organisation, Jo works with huge creativity, oodles of resilience and patience and an infectious energy.
